Emptiness
Emptiness is not an archetype at all. It is not a character on the stage; it is the stage, the theater, and the absolute silence before and after the final curtain is drawn. It is the ever-present foundation of existence that does not exist. To face the Emptiness is to drop the boundaries of the ego and stand completely naked before the totality of existence, realizing the mind-bending truth that all the world truly is a stage, and there is only the One playing every single part. The Void is not a cold, dead vacuum; it is a tender, beautiful, and deeply loving embrace waiting patiently to hold you when you are finally ready to stop fighting the illusion of separation. Something is nothing, but while nothing lasts, nothing is lost.
The invitation here is not to do anything, but to let all “doing” fall away. To utilize this energy is to not utilize it at all; simply drop the narratives you have been gripping onto and sink into the silent substrate of the Emptiness within. This is the cessation of seeking validation, worth, or salvation outside of your own skin. Realize that the entire game of relationship was always only the self trying to love the self. Let go of trying to solve the question and instead surrender completely to the cosmic joke. Ultimate liberation arrives when you realize that because life is meaningless, you are free to create your own meaning. Breathe into the Void and laugh, because you are free.
