The Five Elements
Water

Water

Empty your mind. Be formless, shapeless, like water. You put water into a cup; it becomes the cup. You put it into a teapot; it becomes the teapot. Now water can flow, or it can crash. Be water, my friend.

— Bruce Lee

Water is the liquid memory of existence, the fluid web of cosmic memory that governs the domain of our relationships. You are a walking vessel of the primordial ocean, carrying the salt of your ancestors in your marrow and the chemical blueprints of evolution in your blood. This is the archetype of Eros made physical—not merely sex, but the connective current of life force that bridges the gap between isolation and unity. Anchored in the deep wells of the kidneys and genitals, Water is the vibratory fluid that allows you to profoundly feel the world rather than just observe it. It is the intelligence of the depths, holding the history of every sensation ever felt, waiting to be gracefully recirculated into wisdom or frozen into trauma.

Water is not meant to be frantically leaked nor rigidly dammed, but allowed to naturally circulate. Observe where you may be draining your reservoirs through numbing distraction, or stagnating them by repressing your deep desires. When this elemental force appears, let the Water of your Eros rise consciously in connection with both self and others. Rather than anxiously expelling this energy or stuffing it down into rigid numbness, consciously draw it up the spine to lubricate the brain and nourish the spirit. This means establishing safety in your body through loving relationships so the current can gently dissolve your deepest wounds back into clear Waters.
